HERMINE HAS IMPACTED ROADS IN COASTAL NORTH CAROLINA
At this time the following bridges in Northeastern NC are closed to traffic due to high winds: Virginia Dare heading east and the Alligator River. Please avoid travel in these areas, especially in high profile vehicles.
For information on specific roads select a Region, Route, or County from the pull down menus below.
If a flooded roadway is encountered, turn around and seek an alternate route.

HEAVY TRAFFIC EXPECTED OVER LABOR DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND
Motorists in North Carolina should expect heavier than normal traffic due to holiday weekend travel from Friday, September 2nd to Monday, September 5th. Motorists should expect SIGNIFICANT delays on I-85 south of the Virginia State line due to long-term construction. Motorists should use alternate routes to avoid this area.
