The current National Hurricane Center forecast has the storm moving north and potentially affecting our area later this week and over the weekend. The exact track of the storm is still uncertain as can be seen in the vast variety of models. The path will get easier to predict as the storm continues to move North. Currently the track seems to be shifting to the East and shows it passing us offshore, however, the potential event is still several days out and forecasts can vary greatly.
We are closely monitoring the situation and at this time have not had any type of official bulletins or advisories issued by our County officials. As we get better information we will keep you informed.
If you have a reservation beginning this weekend, we ask that you monitor the weather updates from the national hurricane center at www.nhc.noaa.gov/ and darenc.com for any county bulletins. If any advisories are issued we will update our blog and Facebook pages with the released information.
