Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation's 12th Annual 5k Fun Run



Join the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation for it’s 12th Annual 5K Fun Run on October 10th. Runners and walkers of all skill levels and age are welcome to join in on the fun and help raise money for this great cause. 

Registration will start at 9 a.m. and the race will begin at 10 a.m. Participants will follow the 5k (3.1 miles) course through beautiful Kinnakeet Shores neighborhood, beginning and ending at the Sun Realty Avon Office parking lot. After the fun run, food, live music and awards will be happening in the parking lot. All spectators and participants are welcome to join. 

Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winders for men, women, boys under 12 and girls under 12. Everyone will be given a participation award once crossed the finishing line.

You may turn in forms via mail (P.O. Box 442 Hatteras, NC 27943) or during registration time at the race. 

Make sure to wear pink! The person who is the most "pinked out" will win a special prize.

The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, an all-volunteer group, provides support for cancer patients and their families who live on Hatteras Island. Founded in December 2000, the group's primary goal is to raise funds to offer financial support for patients to help them pay for medical costs not reimbursed by insurance and to pay for travel expenses for themselves and their caregivers to medical centers for cancer treatment.
