9am-Noon Really Free Market @ Avon Volunteer Fire Department- Everyone is welcome to give, receive and create goods and services.
5pm Fish Fry @ Hatteras Volunteer Fire Department- Enjoy locally caught fried fish YUM! Eat in or take out. $9/adults, $6/kids.
Sunday, August 2nd
11am-3pm Brunch & Live Music @ Hatteras Sol Deli- Enjoy a menu of yummy breakfast and lunch items! Live, acoustic music is played in the courtyard while you eat and enjoy the sunshine.
Monday, August 3rd
3pm Let’s Get Crabby @ Hatteras Island Ocean Center- Kids receive an introduction to crabs and then get to try their luck with catching their own crabs from the dock. An adult is asked to join each child. FREE!
6:30pm Maritime Movie @ Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum - Showing Tonight: Hitler’s Secret Attack on America. “Everyone knows that on December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. But what most don’t know is just days later, Hitler sent his own force to devastate the East Coast.” Free! Film: G-PG
Tuesday, August 4th
8am Water Aerobics @ Club Hatteras Pool - Start your morning off with a splash! This program is a fun and invigorating, low-gravity impact workout suitable for all fitness levels.
9am Farmer’s Market @ Koru Beach Klub Lawn - Vendors will be selling local produce, baked goods and handmade crafts/jewelry.
9pm Night Sky Over Hatteras @ ORV Ramp 43 Buxton- Bring a blanket and stare up at the stars while a ranger explains night time navigation, constellations and the significance of the dark sky.
Wednesday, August 5th
10am Arts & Crafts Guild Show @ Cape Hatteras Secondary School - More than 35 local and guest artists will be selling their creations. Snacks and lunch will be available for purchase. Same time on Thursday too!
2pm Kid’s Day! @ Kitty Hawk Kites Hatteras - Enjoy a fun filled variety of games, kite making, toy demos and more!
6pm Bingo! @ Cape Hatteras Angler’s Club - Come out for a night of family fun and try your hand at bingo. Cash prizes, food and fun! Doors open at 6pm, games starts at 7pm.
7:30pm Banjo Island @ Red Drum Pottery - Playing a vast array of material from some traditional bluegrass to the progressive sound of today’s music. $10/person.
Thursday, August 6th
10am Canoe Tour @ Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge - Explore the marshes, islands and creeks of the Pamlico Sound. $20-$40/person, all gear included.
10am Trunk Show @ Indian Town Gallery - One artist will be at the gallery all day featuring original artwork for display and purchase. Chat with the artist and get an insiders look into their process.
7pm The Hackensaw Boys Concert @ Koru Beach Klub- Join us for a mixture of old-time song tradition, hands solid by the dirt of rock n’ roll and eyes fixed steadily on real country music. Tickets: $12/advance, $15/door.
Friday, August 7th
12:30pm National Lighthouse Day @ Cape Hatteras Lighthouse - Have you ever wondered why the lighthouse was built on a barrier island? Lear about the history of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and it’s purpose.
6pm Sky Blue Summer Concert Series @ REAL Watersports- Enjoy live music on the waterfront deck. Food/drinks available at Watermen’s Bar and Grill.
