All lanes of Highway 158 in Kitty Hawk at milepost 4 remain closed due to flooding. Traffic is currently being rerouted on a detour through neighborhoods west of Highway 158. Visitwww.townofkittyhawk.org to view a map of the detour. Motorists should expect delays and slow travel in this area.
All of NC Highway 12 and streets between Highway 12 and Highway 158 remain closed due to flood waters. The Kitty Hawk Police Department is advising all residents, visitors and property management companies that the areas east of US 158 toward the ocean are closed to everyone but emergency personnel. No one is allowed in this area until further notice, due to debris and downed power lines.
