November Events on Hatteras Island

Fall is in full gear here on the island. The weather is cooler, yet still nice enough to enjoy an afternoon on the beach. The crowds have subsided, island life is starting to slow down, and our community is coming together to plan some great events and activities for everyone to partake in.

November 3rd: Carey LeSieur Bucket Party Fundraiser-This event is in honor of the late Carey LeSieur and will be hosted by the Brigand’s Bay Homeowners Association. Both residents and visitors are welcome to attend and partake in the live music, food, and raffles. Proceeds will benefit the Carey LeSieur Scholarship fund.

November 7th:  Anglers Club 55th Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament- The tournament will span over a 4 day period. 120 teams of 6 fishermen are invited annually to participate in the event.

November 11th: OBX Marathon- This is a two day event held annually in Kitty Hawk. Participants from all over the Outer Banks are welcome to attend the half Marathon, 8K, 5K, or fun run.

November 17th:  2nd Annual Hatteras Island Community Fair. The fair will have rides, games, food, and fun for every age. Make sure to come out and support our kids!

November 21st: Wounded Warriors Oyster Roast- A barbeque dinner, along with roasted oysters, will be offered for folks to come together and help support the families of soldiers who have been injured at war. November 22nd: 1st Annual Surfin’ Turkey 5K and Drum Stick fun run will take place in Hatteras Village. Come out for a run and hot pancake breakfast before sitting down with the family and friends for a big holiday dinner.

November 23rd & 24th: Arts and Crafts Fair- Artisans and crafters from all over North Carolina will be setting up shop at the Cape Hatteras Secondary School for two full days. Make sure to check the show out and get a head start on holiday shopping.
