Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Independence Day Celebration
The seventh annual Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Civic Association, features patriotic music, community singing and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a watermelon feast afterwards. Festivities begin at 3:30 at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building.
Mojo Collins at Hatteras Landing
Enjoy Folk n’ Blues music on the sunset deck of Hatteras Landing Marina (7pm-11pm). Don’t miss this world renowned guitarist! Come celebrate Independence Day with some tunes!
Hatteras Village Freedom Fest
In Hatteras, Freedom Fest kicks off at 4 p.m. on Highway 12 in the center of Hatteras village. Food and fun, and arts and crafts will be sponsored by the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation. At 8:00 p.m. Enjoy a patriotic Hatteras Village concert near the water with the military band ensemble TRADOC Rock. The band will play patriotic music as well as its regular repertoire of classic Top 40, R & B, Motown and country and contemporary pop sounds.
Tell the kids to decorate their bikes and bring the lawn chairs! July 4th on Ocracoke is packed with outdoor fun, a sand-sculpting contest, a village parade, local entertainment, a visit from Blackbeard, and sky-jumpers. Don’t miss out on these well-loved traditions. The sand-sculpting contest begins at 9:30 and car show and other exhibits begin at 10. At 3pm the sky-jumpers will descend over Ocracoke Village and the parade will begin.
