Hatteras Landing Marina Has it All

Next to the ferry docks in Hatteras Village is a large shopping center filled with shops and restaurants but tucked in the corner, on the far end, is the Hatteras Landing Marina. There is so much to do in this one little shop there is no need to go anywhere else. As you enter the store you are greeted with a great selection of t-shirts and other apparel. Their t-shirt wall features shirts from Bimini Bay Outfitters, Calcutta and more. They also offer Custom Ts and embroidered clothing for those of you who want something a little more personal. As you continue through the store you reach the snack bar where you can find cold beverages and premade sandwiches. Just beyond the snack bar, the back doors open to the deck which overlooks the marina. This is one of the stores greatest features. It is a great place to sit and relax after a long day of fishing or just a long day of shopping. There is plenty of seating available where you can sit and enjoy your lunch while watching the boats come and go. In the afternoons many people come out to sit on the deck and watch the fishermen as they arrive with their latest catch. If you don’t make it in time to catch the fishermen, that’s ok. The sunset view is one of the best on the island. You can rest on the deck with a cold drink and enjoy the view as the sun sets over the sound.
The marina has eight different charter boats ranging from 25 feet to 61 feet and since they are the closest Outer Banks marina to the Gulf Stream they spend less time traveling and more time fishing! To book a charter they recommend you call, email or stop in a few days in advance to schedule your trip. If you have your own fishing plans, you can pick up your tackle at the shop or check out the Hatteras Landing Marina’s FISHING REPORT online.
Thursday nights are a lot of fun on the deck of the Hatteras Landing Marina. Every Thursday night during the summer months they offer live music beginning at 7pm. Some of the bands they plan to feature this summer are Jones Potion, the Summertime Blues Band and many others. They offer a very unique beer selection and wine by the glass, so while you are browsing through the store or listening to the band on the deck, you can enjoy and nice cold, relaxing drink.
Located within walking distance from the beach, just next to the ferry docks and with several shops and restaurants around, there is no reason not to stop in the Hatteras Landing Marina. There is a climbing wall and playground close by for children, fish cleaning services for fishermen, and great apparel for shoppers. So while you’re in town during the summer months, whether you are waiting in line for the ferry or looking for something to do on a Thursday night, the Hatteras Landing Marina has all you need.
